I couldn't help but recall the words of the classic children's song whilst witnessing these, certainly far from ugly, little creatures on my travels this week. The baby Mallards may have 'feathers all stubby and brown' but the Cygnets will grow up to say ... "I am A Very Fine Swan Indeed" ! Add in a cheeky Grey Wagtail and very close encounters with the Eurasian Jay's, I've had a very fulfilling week !
